Raised in a deeply spiritual household by a pastor father and a mother who served as a chorister, Jahplaka developed an early connection to message based music and melody. Influenced by artists such as Buju Banton, Damian Marley, and Burna Boy, he has crafted a sound that balances reggae soulfulness with contemporary African rhythm and introspective songwriting.

Over the years, Jahplaka has built a growing international audience, generating more than 12 million streams across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Audiomack.
